Sri Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, Chairman of the Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, informed the press that the institute observed the “World Youth Skills Day”, today under the aegis of its Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC)-Center of Excellence. For this event the renowned Motivator, Sri Gade Sudhakar Reddy, Director of Nirveda Corporation, attended as a Chief Guest.
After formally inaugurating the event Sri Sudhakar Reddy, stated that skilled youth in other countries like China & North Korea were abundant when compared to our country. Understanding this problem our central government and state government are acting accordingly by establishing more skill development centers. Sri Reddy also commended the efforts of APSSDC especially for laying all necessary plans and putting in to action for the development of skills in the youth. He also emphasized that development of any country and state is absolutely possible by the development of skilled youth. He also advised the students that without skills we can’t do anything but with skill we can do anything in our life.
In this regard, Sri Sagar, appreciated the relentless efforts of APSSDC for making every youngster to be highly skilled from their student level itself by conducting a series of workshops at all parts of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Sagar also mentioned that they are very fortunate to have COE established by APSSDC, to become part of this holy activity skills development in the people.
Dr.Y.Mallikharjuna Reddy, Principal of VVIT, stated that every student from within their education must hone their skills in multiple platforms for making themselves suitable to the escalating industry needs now a days. Dr. Reddy also stated that many young people are getting benefitted by the APSSDC through its determined efforts and well-organized workshops.
Dr. Naveen, APSSDC-SPOC, in this regard motivated the students about the importance of education & training which are the key determinants of success in making the students skillful. Dr.Kumara Swamy, Dean of Academics, VVIT, stated that talent is one which people get by birth but skill is such a thing which can be achieved by rigorous practice, determination and proper training & education. Dr.Swamy also addressed about the learning needs of many young people, and the importance of skills in their success.
Chief Guest Sri Sudhakar Reddy interacted the students and answered several questions raised by them regarding the skill development.
The entire event is organized by the VVIT’s APSSDC-COE, which is running since 2015 and conducting several workshops for students for enhancement of skills. The Chairman of VVIT, Sri Sagar, Secretary Sri Badri Prasad, Joint Secretary Sri Sreekrishna, VVIT-SPOC for APSSDC Dr.Naveen Ravela, Principal Dr.Y.Mallikharjuna Reddy & Dean Academics Dr.Kumara Swamy all HODs, faculty and Students participated in this event.
