Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology celebrated its Theater day on 29th February 2020 at its VIVA-Auditorium amidst all students, faculty with ecstasy under the aegis of VVIT Theater Club as informed by Sri Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, Chairman of VIVA-VVIT Institutions. He commended the efforts put by the Drama Club of VVIT in extracting the hidden talents of aspiring students. The astonishing performances of various students who played different roles in their wonderful dramas were impressive.

Sri Sagar also emphasized that, it’s been accepted and practiced by the International Educational Universities, to inculcate the art of drama and theatrical action in their students to bring out the innate talents in them which can prop up in their professional life while expressing themselves in gamut. He also added that, the ancient renowned universities also kept their academic processes inter-mixed with the art of drama to carve the full–blown personalities of their students. Sri Sagar, reminded that drama is also the most efficient medium for disseminating the highly complicated information in a plausible manner to the common public as believed by the elders. Keeping in view of all these aspects about the art of drama and theatrical action, Sri Sagar informed that their Institute introduced Theatre club ten years ago along with other twelve clubs in different streams.

Theatre club of the college made the audience spell bound with a series of skits written and played by the impeccable dramatic actions of students, which are though provoking.  

The skit “NEEDEE NAADEE OKEY KADHA” played by the students of Electronics  and Communications Engineering, high-lighted the today’s family trouble and the way how they are overcame due course of life by strong determination.

“JAGAMEIGINA JATHARA”, played by the Computer Science & Engineering students has enthralled the entire spectators. The story is based on the fest Sammakka-Saarakka and its powerful crowd-pulling energy.

The students of Information Technology Department played a drama named “YEMAI POTHUNDI?”, which portrayed the perturbed youth due to Social media ill-effects. The entire play went on in a mixed drama of emotions, like fun, sentiment, emotions and empathy. The court scenes especially were nicely portrayed by bringing arguments against Innocent Criminals and the Rotten Society that makes them.

The skit “Chitti Talli” played by the students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, high-lighted the burning issue of the society the attacks on women.

The “AMMA OKKATEY”, drama played by Civil Engineering students, was very thought-provoking and heart touching which depicted the motherly-hood and made the eyes wet.

The Mechanical Engineering students played an out-right hilarious drama, “BHATRAJA AJANA BRUNDAM..!”, which entertained the spectators by putting them in continuous exercise of laughing.

Principal Dr.Y. Mallikarjuna Reddy, of VVIT informed that, their institute is always thriving to shape the personality apart from academics of their students to fit in to the industry in a most effective manner, to come out skill fully from any kind of critical situations that they may face, throughout their career.

For this Scintillating Theater Day, VIVA-VVIT Institutions Chairman Sri V Vidya Sagar, Secretary Sri S.Badari Prasad, Academic Secretary Sri M.Sri Krishna, Principal Dr.Y.Mallikharjuna Reddy , Principal In-Charge Dr. Giribabu Kande, Dean of Academics Prof. N.Kumara Swamy, Theater Club Coordinator Mr.P.Siva Prasad, all HoDs and other management members, all teaching & non-teaching faculty members and students were present.
