Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, under the aegis of its Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering Departments, inaugurated the Indian Society for Heating Refrigerating Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) Vijayawada Sub-Chapter, on February 06, 2018. 



ISHRAE is one of the multi-purpose professional societies, which has strong ties with various Multinational Air Conditioners Manufacturing Companies like Carrier from America, Toshiba, and OGeneral from Japan, LG and Samsung from Korea and others like Bluestar, Voltas. ISHRAE conducts Design competitions, paper presentation, quizzes, technical talks & Job Junction etc. The associated companies with ISHRAE facilitate the members to get job opportunities in their sector.

In this event the ISHRAE Vijayawada sub chapter officials Mr.Ch.Ganesh, Mr.P.Nageswar Rao, Mr.Sk.Munner & Mr.A.P.Rao were also present to motivate the students and gave enormous information about the importance of professional societies and how ISHRAE is useful for the members in job search and knowledge acquiring.

Sri Sagar in this regard stated that the departments of Mechanical & EEE of VVIT already have an active student chapter under the INVEST chapter at National level and now they got the chapters under the world famous Professional society ISHRAE. After the official inaugural of VVIT ISHRAE Chapters, they have conducted a Technical Talk.  

The Chief Guest and key note speaker of this inaugural session, Sri A.P.Rao, Ex-President & Student Chair of ISHRAE, Vijayawada Chapter, after formally inaugurating the event, addressed the gathering about the importance of having chapters of professional societies and the benefits that they get. Sri A.P.Rao also commended the genuine efforts of VVIT for keeping their students in connection with the outside world, to update them technically in a professional manner. In this regard Sri Sagar emphasized that VVIT always takes every action for the all round professional development of their students, for which these Professional Societies would help in acquiring knowledge on new technologies, showcasing their talents and assessing themselves in the global technological arena. He wished all the members of ISHRAE chapter to add value to themselves in every event under this ISHRAE. Mr.A.P.Rao in the afternoon session gave away a technical talk on “Advanced Technologies in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering" and inspired the members by giving enormous information on the current advancements and technological trends in that domain.

Dr.Y. Mallikarjuna Reddy, Principal of the Host institute, congratulated all the members of ISHRAE Chapter and mentioned about the perks of being an ISHRAE member. Dr.Reddy also spoke about how ISHRAE like International Professional Societies can be influential for a student, in knowing about the various advancements in technical fields. Dr.Reddy stated that VVIT has nearly 10 national and international professional bodies with which various departments are associated and established student-chapters for the benefit of their students and faculty.

Dr.K.Satyanarayana, Prof & Head, Mech, Dr.A.Naresh, Prof & Head, EEE Department informed that the ISHRAE Professional Society is one of the globally popular and most functioning Society and they are scrupulously planning to conduct more activities that the students can get the best out of these chapters. Sri Sagar, Chairman of VVIT along with other management member felicitated the Chief Guest Sri A.P.Rao, for his eloquent and motivational lecture. Chairman of VVIT, Sri Sagar, Administrative Secretary Sri S.Badari Prasad, Joint Secretary Sri M.SreeKrishna, Principal Dr.Y.Mallikarjuna Reddy, Professor & Dean N.Kumara Swamy, Dr.K.Satyanarayana, Prof & Head, Mech, Dr.A.Naresh, Prof & Head, EEE Department, faculty members along with student members of VVIT-ISHRAE Chapter were present in this program.
