The Induction program for I B.TECH was conducted grandly by Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Namburu on 27.06.2018. The programme consisted of presentations, talks and showcasing the milestones of VVIT in the indoor auditorium. As many as 750 students along with their parents took part in the celebration.
The event started formally with instrumental performances by the Music Club followed by a prayer song and a classical dance show. The NCC Boy & Girl Wing formations were also drawn cheers from the crowd amidst claps. The NSS volunteers shared their experiences with all details of AP State Government Prize winning activities they are doing.
After welcoming the Dignitaries on to the Dias the auspicious lamp lighting by the hands of new comers, began with much traditional values. They also offered floral tributes to the Goddess Saraswathi for bestowing knowledge & wisdom to excel in tier studies.
On this occasion, Dr. Y. Mallikarjuna Reddy, Principal said that appropriate personality development is as much the need of the current set-up as the engineering course demands. At VVIT, the students are trained to face the real life challenges with utmost competency. “Education is life but not life is Education”, as Dr.Reddy, quoted to bring confidence into the young technocrats.
Dr. N. Kumaraswamy, Dean and Professor in his speech underlined the importance of discipline coordination, leadership skills and team work. He gave some valuable suggestions to the parents on monitoring the discipline of their wards regularly and requested cooperation in achieving complete success of entire system.
Dr.Naveen Raveal, Director Siemens-CoE-VVIT, congratulated all the students for opting VVIT and urged the students to make use of all the facilities provided by college management. He also added that apart from studies, students should concentrate on the skills.
Dr. M. V. Raghuram, Professor and HOD, S&H, highlighted the salient features of VVITs tradition and culture. He also gave an overview of the different activities to be held during their engineering course at First Year. He advised the students to focus on career right from the First Year of their engineering. He also motivated the students and threw light on the different phases of engineering. He briefed the options and opportunities available to the students after successful completion of their graduation.
Sri M. Sree Krishna, Joint Secretary (Academics) opined that students joining in VVIT enjoys the benefit of utilizing the centre of excellence like Siemens, Google cODE LABS and APSSDC, established by the government of A.P. ‘We will give highest priority to training and placements’, he added. The saga of placements achieved in the consecutive years and its presentation attracted the students and parents attentively. “The expectations of parents & students will be fruitful with the excellent career counselling mechanism the institute has adopted as a success mantra “as Sri Krishna emphasized. He also cleared the doubts of the parents regarding bringing cell phones to the college and coming on bikes. He also enlightened the students on how to prepare themselves in order to survive the challenges and craft a place for themselves in this globalised world.
On this occasion Sri. V. Vidya Sagar, Chairman of VVIT exhorted the budding engineers to fully utilize the inputs of the teachers to carve their career in a better way. He wished all the students for choosing right path in the most happening place to chisel their engineering career. He appreciated future engineers for selecting VVIT and believing it as their career prospect for best results.
Sri Sagar, asked the parents to leave their misconceptions on education. He added that observation is essential to make one’s own life happy, that is possible only by self-justification. He emphasized that all are equal at VVIT. He envisaged that useful thing is always welcomed from the parents and students.
VVIT Secretary Sri Suryadevara Badari Prasad also graced the occasion.
Later, a video presentation has displayed the step-wise success of VVIT. The Alumni, students’ parents spoke on the dedication of the institution in making the students as future industry ready professionals. Students were taken to their respective classes and the senior students welcomed them in an amicable way.
The Inaugural session ended with formal National anthem as a token of respect towards nation. The whole programme was carried out by Student Activities Council (SAC) with much planning and execution. All the Heads of the Departments, faculty and staff participated in the induction and made it a grand success.
