A guest lecture on Tribology is delivered by Dr.R.Narasimharao ,NIT Waranagal,to Third year mechanical students.

• The guest lecture is conducted on the way materials or Machine componenets like Bearings,Clutches,gears e.t.c fail due to friction and wear In this lecture the resource person mainly focussed on how to minimize the friction & wear in the machine components.he explained about the methods for reducing the friction and wear in machine components.

• He also explained about the material selection plays an important role in bringing down the tribological effects via friction and wear.Also the geometry of the mating parts plays a vital role.in this lecture he elobrated all the three area of tribology.
