Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, under the aegis of its Computer Science Engineering Department, conducting a 2-Day Workshop on “Software Craftsmanship“ for the budding Computer Science Engineers, from 22nd to 23rd August 2017.
This 2-day National-Level workshop is focusing on the basics of software design in Industry perspective especially for the final year engineering students, to bridge the gaps between industry and institution. This workshop free of cost for the participants, with an affirmative notion of promoting healthy standards in the young engineers on par with the industry. Sri Unnam Kishore Babu, Product Analyst, NOKIA-INDIA, Bangalore acting as the scholarly resource person & Chief Guest for this workshop.
Sri Kishore Babu, after formally inaugurating the workshop, addressed the participants about the importance of having an insight in to the Industry ways of Software Development which includes a precise and perfect planning from the beginning. Sri Kishore emphasized that, the software tools, techniques, practices and analytics followed in the industry are sustainable to the products quality and the customers, where as in the academic projects they are critically subjected to such practices, which makes the significant variation. He also advised every engineer to focus mainly on the standards of development of software. He said that this workshop will focus on the Code Smell, Agile Software Design and exploration of various developer-friendly tools while disseminating the standards in development all around. He congratulated all participants to imbibe every information from this workshop and put them into practice to quickly befit to the industry and for their professional well-being. Sri Kishore Babu Unnam commended the efforts of VVIT for magnanimously organizing this kind of workshops for the better future of the Computer Science Engineering Students with a clear foresight on IT Industry.
Sri M.Srikrishna, Joint Secretary, VVIT, in this regard stated that VVIT is always a step ahead in conducting this kind of workshops for the betterment of their students in Industry perspective. Sri Krishna, in this regard, emphasized that they are very fortunate to have Sri Kishore Babu Unnam as a Chief Resource Person for this 2-day workshop in spite of his busy schedule at Nokia-India, Bangalore as a Product Analyst.
Dr.Y.Mallikarjuna Reddy, Principal, congratulated the participants and wished them to make the workshop successful by learning to fill the gaps between the Industry and Institution in the aspects of tools, techniques in special, plans and policies in general. Dr.Reddy also advised them to inculcate the habit of lifelong learning for their better future.
Dr.R.Eswariah, HOD, Computer Science Engineering Department & Prof K.Suresh Babu, Convener of this workshop, informed that the vital objectives of this workshop were planned meticulously within the 2 days span of time. Sri Suresh Babu, stated that , the workshop has significant amount of hands-on laboratory sessions for making it fruitful. He said the workshop will conclude on 24th August 2017.
