The SWYAM and National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), a project funded by MHRD, Govt. of India, organized by IIT Madras, has appreciated NPTEL Local Chapter of Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Nambur and Dr. M.Y. Bhanu Murthy, Local Chapter In-charge (Single Point of Contact) for his efforts in disseminating and supporting the learners of the Swayam NPTEL Local Chapter, as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) during the Jan-Apr 2020 semester.
NPTEL informed though a letter that the support provided by the SPOC was critical in ensuring a smooth completion of the various academic activities in addition to SWAYAM- NPTEL in the COVID-19 impacted semester. They also appreciated the activeness of the SPOC for his enormous support in achieving the appreciation.
Sri Vasireddy VidyaSagar, Chairman, VIVA-VVIT Institutions, congratulated M.Y. Bhanu Murthy, Local Chapter In-charge and SPOC (Single Point of Contact), all students and members of faculty for the appreciation and successfully completing various online courses during Jan-Apr 2020 spell, under SWYAM-NPTEL.
A total of 205 students registered and 197 students passed based on scores in the respective assignments.
Principal Dr. Y.Mallikarjuna Reddy after receiving the letter from Prof. Andrew Thangaraj NPTEL, Co-ordinator stated that it is a significant achievement to get appreciation for the college and SPOC. Dr Reddy also commended the efforts of Dr.M.Y.Bhanu Murthy for navigating the Local Chapter. Dr Reddy also stated that, it was successively for the third year, that VVIT SWAYAM-NPTEL local chapter got this appreciation.
Prof. M.Y.Bhanu Murthy, HoD ECE department and VVIT-SWAYAM-NPTEL local chapter, in this regard congratulated all the students of VVIT and stated that they have proven their thirst for knowledge besides commitment to complete the courses enrolled and getting certified by the prestigious IITs.
