In Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, a Guest Lecture on “Fluid Mechanics and Its Applications", for the budding Mechanical engineering students is conducted today under the aegis of its Mechanical engineering department. Renowned Mechanical Engineering Professor Dr. P. Lovaraju, who did his PhD in IIT Kanpur and currently working as a Professor and Head, Department of Aerospace Engineering, LB Reddy college of Engg, Mylavaram , acted as the Chief Guest and Resource Person for this guest lecture. This seminar will help upcoming engineers to become knowledgeable in Fluid Mechanics & its Applications.
Dr. P. Lovaraju garu, in his inaugural speech, inspired all the participants to rise up to the occasion in the research, development & industry by attending these kinds of advanced seminars & workshops. He also emphasized that the Fluid Mechanics is the key technology. He also illustrated several real-time applications of Fluid Mechanics. Dr.P.Lovaraju, emphasized that Mechanical Engineers need to demonstrate their vitality to befit the challenging industry needs in the near future. Dr.Lovaraj also commended the efforts of VVIT for organizing this kind of guest lectures and praised the participants for being active learners.
Vice-Principal Dr.N.Sridhar Babu, of VVIT, said that Fluid Mechanics is one of the most challenging technologies in Mechanical Engineering & mastering such challenging area is very much needed for every student. Dr.Sridhar Babu believed that this guest lecture gives a way for the students of Mechanical Engineering department to learn about the basics as well as applications of Fluid Mechanics in a broader perspective while giving the necessary push in the research and development in that area.
Dr.Naveen Ravela, Professor in Mechanical Engineering and SPOC-SIEMENS’ Centre Of Excellence at VVIT, in this regard said that Fluid mechanics is the study of the effects of forces and energy on liquids and it has a huge significance in multiple streams of engineering such as Civil, Electronics & Chemical Engineering. Dr.Naveen congratulated all the participants to get the lectures from the highly resourceful and scholarly academician like Dr.Lovaraju garu and thanked him for being a resource for this guest lecture.
Dr.K.Satyanarayana, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, VVIT, in this regard stated that their department is organizing many industrial visits, guest lectures, workshops, seminars & technical competitions besides the regular teaching learning of the curriculum. These activities will help the students to excel in their academics while building an ample knowledge in the research and development perspective in the advanced concepts. Dr.Satyanarayana said that the seminar is also focused at inspiring the students to do project works in the same area.
